Hi to all again,
I have had great help from an hardware techy today. We have done everything
we could to bring this thing to work. The card never showed up in the
system. Not in the Sound, audio, hardware or in the system. The installation
program said also that there is no supported hardware found. So I think that
the card is damaged. I contacted the dealer and I can send the card back and
hopefully I can get 1 or 2 M-Audio DELTA 1010LT cards for this.

I also thought of disabling the Onboard soundcard complitly and get an low
end soundblaster card. the only problem will be that there may be not enough
slots in the PC avalible for that.
But then I will look for an usb-card or simply connect an USB-Head set to
hear jaws. So I should be in great shape when I can manage to get the
M-Audio DELTA 1010LT cards. If not then I have to work with the Emu again.
I also thought of an IRQ-problem with the realtek card but do not know how
to fix it. It is onboard so I only can disable it and re-move the drivers if
I realy need and use 2 other cards.

Thanks for the great help again. I hope that I can manage to get the other
cards.

Best regards,
Patrick Schuppe

Hi, Patrick

I think that someone has to enable the onboard sound card from the bios
level. Not sure what that means, but technicians seem to know what that's
all about, and I'm sure someone far more knowledgeable than I could explain
it far better.

HTH
