No no no, play the track, then tab along as it's playing.

Hit spacebar then open timpo dialog and tap along to the beat with space or
enter.

Would work if the track was playing, but it sounds like the person was using
a drum machine and playing piano.

Hey, try tapping timpo as your playing.

Meaning, press CTRL+T then tab and tap the timpo as it's playing, then when
you think you got it set right, shift+tab to OK button and press it. Now you
will need to nudg audio to bar1 if it's posed to start there, or at least
bar two.
