Greg,

If you are using 64 bit Sonar that may be the problem.  The demo I got from 
addictive was 32 bit only.  If you have a folder for your 32 bit plugins, put 
the .dll file in there, and rescan and you'll be fine.

    That didn't work I noticed that their is sfpack files in the xln audio 
adictive drums folder do I need to download the sfpack application and extract 
them and reinstall the plugin?

      Did you do a scan? Try going to the cakewalk plugIn manager and force a 
vst scan, see if it shows up in there. Sometimes with these plugs that require 
registration, the plug won't show up or can't be correctly scanned till you 
activate it or install the product correctly. Make sure that you loaded the 
data that goes with it, the pak files etc.
      The plugIn manager is under tools in sonar.

cakewalk vst plugins and I'm using windows 7 64 bit with the 32 bit version of 
sonar.

        Did you make sure that it installed the vst to the right folder? What 
version of sonar are you using? Which platform?
