Don't forget the built-in Sonar arpeggiator MIDI effect. That one can
perform many standard patterns, and all are tempo-synchronized.

The Z3ta built-in softsynth has many arpeggiating voices.

Rapture and even the built-in Rapture LE have many arpeggiating voices.

Hey Darren!

I don't know of any decent arpeggiators  apart from using the step
sequence 
process in Sonar.

In the meantime, however, if you go to the following link, you'll find 6
or 
7 arpeggiators as well as some pre-written arpeggios as midi files:

I'm sure there's something there that'll kick start the process one way
or 
another, and it could be fun...
