[ddots-l] Audio Conversion

Hi all!
I'm working on some projects, mixing midi down to audio tracks, then exporting
the audio tracks as RIF Wave files. I tried playing one track, and it comes in
a low volume, probably because I recorded instances of low volumes on the midi
side. So my question is, would it be okay to simply use a sound editor to
amplify the wave files, or would it become distorted and I'd have to rework the
volumes in the midi tracks?
