Band in a Box has some capability to do this with the audio analyzer, but
only for the chord progressions.

Hi guys, This may be asking thee impossible of Sonar: I want to import an
audio sample into Sonar: is there a tool in Sonar that will allow me to convert
it to MIDI so that I can store it as a MIDI preset so that the sound can be
triggered from my keyboard. If this is not possible with Sonar: It wood be a
nice dream come true if it could be done. Can It? Robert
