No Rui: that's not exactly my question, but that's close enough. The only
reason I wanted to convert it to MIDI: was to gain control of the sample so
that I can create custom rhythms and melodies. This will save me an extra step,
because I can play the patterns or melodies directly into an audio track.

With the Matrix, It is possible to trigger the audio by the keyboard.
But, i suppose that wasn't what you ask. Sorry...
