OK, I found the problem! The CTWEBUPDATE.INI file in my ct 8 folder had /7/ instead of /8/, Now, I'm getting the right update which says like yours that the latest version is 8.0.29 and that I have the latest version. However, when I load Sonar 8, the scripts version is 8.0.28!!! What gives? Where can I find the CT 8.0.29 version?
