I don't suppose you'd consider letting us all know exactly what graphics card you're talking about-that way we might all know what to be aware, or wary of, when buying a new system.

P.S. That's not sarcasm as much as it is exasparation. I mean, c'mon Dave--you told us everything, I mean EVERYTHING, except for the name of the offending graphics card/package. Talk about a tease;-)

When consulting with Dancing Dots I was told that my spare Dell Latitude
laptop (with XP Pro) would not work well with Sibelius because of the
graphics incompatibility.

They were right (thanks, Gord).

Fortunately this is not my personal laptop but one from work. However I note
that JAWS works just fine, versions 5.0 through 7.1 beta.

I'm using Sibelius 3 with Sib Speaking 3.10 and JAWS 6.0, with resolution
1024x768 and 16 million colors, as specified. However The keypad will not
stay to the right and the graphics labeling is abysmal. Fortunately not my
main machine, just one I'm using for school/work.

What should I be aware of when I *do* purchase a new computer vis-a-vis the
video adapter/drivers/chipsets?

Do I avoid Dell at all costs?

Is this posted somewhere and if so, where? I'd expect to see a list of the
incompatible drivers/video.

Dave
