The 1010 is an excellent inexpensive way to get -10DB or +4DB input sources onto your daw at up to 24-bit 96KHz. But like any "real" sound card, the outputs are line-level.

Dave, thanks for the reply.
After installing the 1010, the sound blaster live disappear from the list.
There were several 1010 selections to pick from the list.
But the blaster live wasn't there.
I pulled the 1010 from the system, and I had to reinstall the drivers to
get the blaster live to work again.
Is there a sound card that would do what the 1010 does that speakers can be
connected.
I just want several inputs available to me in Sonar 8.
Cheers!

Mark,

The outputs are line-level, not designed to directly drive speakers. You
need an amplifier for that.

Installing the new Delta 10 10 sound card might make it the primary and
therefore subjugate another sound card. Just go to Control Panel, Sounds and
Audio Devices, and then the Audio Tab.

Then decide if the Soundblaster is to be your default or not, and for which
type of input/output.

Think I made a misstake.
I brought the Delta 1010 Rack.
Where do you plug the speakers in?
Not only that, it knocked out my sound blaster live.
Doesn't the 1010 work on xp?

Thanks.

Mark
