[ddots-l] Re: Emergency...big problems with ct 5.1

When I first installed CT5 and ran it for the first time, I got the same message. Then I read in the tutorial about loading the test colors templet. When I did that and also the control f 12 configurations, everything worked just fine.

Hi, Damon,

Glad it's all working but interested to know what may have gone wrong!

Before you received that message about not being authorized, had you
successfully run all the CONTROL+F12 tests?

Bill

Gord. I am not sure what I did, but somehow, I got it working. I had all
sorts of issues and after deleting all the control surfaces and putting them
back in and switching from jfw 7.1 to 7.0 and back to 7.1, caketalking works
again. Strange, but I am glad it works now.

Damon:
The only reason your authorization wouldn't be working is that you don't
have the right serial number for the version of Jaws you are running.
Unfortunately, you can only get that from the main office. You can try to
call Bill, but with it being a holiday weekend I'm not sure if he'll be
around.

OK. I installed ct5.1. Configured everything and when I use the arrows
in the track view, I am told that I am not using a registered version
of caketalking, even though I put in codes to authorize it. So, I
uninstalled ct 5.1, deleted all the sonar files out of all versions of
jaws, reinstalled ct, and now in addition to not being to arrow in the
track view, the second color test keeps telling me the jaws control
surface is not working. I uninstalled ct5.1 again and don't know what
to do. Anybody help me? I have things to produce before Sunday and
without CT, I am lost. Please? Pretty please?
