Try the Roland Duo Tri or Quad-capture, maybe
something from Focusrite's Scarlet range. If your
new machine has a firewire port, consider the Focusrite Saffire Pro14.

A sound card that doesn't keep dropping out and has little to no latency if that's at all possible.
