Unfortunately, modern Mac systems don't really allow the kind of dual boot
environment you want. Windows seven has not been supported by Boot Camp in
many years. You would have to buy a used system of a certain age in order to do
this. CT doesn't run under windows 10.
As for the Mac, it is a completely different animal. If you really need access
to your sonar projects. I recommend a windows 10 based system that has JSonar.
While ProTools is very accessible, it is at its core and audio engineering tool
with MIDI fundamentally bolted on as a comparative afterthought.
Logic, even though it is owned by Apple and was primarily a MIDI program in its
early days to which audio was added, still has profound limitations with
respect to accessibility.
You may wish to speak with ProTools and Logic users while considering things
like Samplitude and Reaper. Jim Rosebarry might be your best option.

Hey guys,
My Daw has been dead for the past two weeks. I just had it confirmed to me
yesterday. Looks like I had a power surge while I was out of town that fried
my motherboard.
I have been considering switching to Mac for a while and now seems like as
good a time as any. However I realize that Learning the Mac Environment and
whatever DAW I choose will take a while. I want to keep sonar around so that
I can continue working on my old projects if I need to and most likely, I
will need to get into them every once in a while.
I have heard about duel boot systems from those on this list, but I really
don't know much about them or if a system like that would meet my needs. I
would really appreciate any advice from those who are seasoned users of duel
boot systems. I would also appreciate advice from you Mac users on what kind
of DAW should I get, what are the specs on the system I should be looking out
for and any accessibility issues I may encounter.
