Hi list, I've been listening to a lot of trance music lately via Shoutcast. I've always been fascinated by this genre of music. There are so many layers and textures of sounds. I can see why people go to parties and dance their---uh, butts off. I just looked up a popular DJ--Paul Van Dyk--after listening to an epic live set of his on Trance Online Radio. It blew my mind it was so good! This is a quote from Wikipedia, so I don't know how accurate it is, but: In some gigs, he was utilizing two 17" MacBook Pro laptops sporting Mainstage (Logic 8 Pro) and Ableton Live software on both, and two MIDI keyboards. My main question--what do those pieces of software do? Second, why TWO computers and TWO midi keyboards? Are there any techno/trance/electronic enthusiasts out there? Can Sonar do any of the tricks that the other software can? If I can think of any more questions, I know where to go! Take care, Chelsea
