Hi Chelsea, You're right, I'm from Saskatchewan, Canada.A pad, or synth pad, is basically a chord that has a warm sound to it. An arpeggio line is a series of notes that play in a certain pattern. There is a built-in arpeggiator included with Sonar 8.5. When enabled, you can hold down a chord, and, depending on what pattern you select, it'll play the notes of that chord in, as an example, a circular pattern.
