Is VSampler accessible? Are JAWS - HSC scripts needed?
If accessible, is this software mainly used to play samples from other non
accessible instruments? Or are people using it to create their own samples?

I have a few giga files laying around that i use from time to time, the format
plays on VSampler, but it loses quality/some of the effects/benefits of the
real giga studio. Same thing happens when converting with awave or ESC (E S C).

Not totally. I guess you can play old giga files in Vsampler if you can find
that. I'd stay away from the whole thing. Consider it a dead format.
