Kontakt 1 files, or anything that's not protected, meaning that you can't
play any of the comercial libraries. Other than that, i've used it with akai
cds, sound fonts, halion samples, giga files, dls files, and native vs3
formats. They all work well...

I might be missing something here, but the website for VSampler says that
VSampler can play the Kontakt format as well as many others.
For those who are using VSampler, can you let me know what kind of sound
libraries you can use with VSampler?

VSampler 3.5 is accessible with Jaws and HotSpotClicker.

I have a few giga files laying around that i use from time to time, the
format plays on VSampler, but it loses quality/some of the effects/benefits
of the real giga studio. Same thing happens when converting with awave or
ESC (E S C).

Not totally. I guess you can play old giga files in Vsampler if you can
find that. I'd stay away from the whole thing. Consider it a dead format.
