Thanks guys,

I really appreciate the replies.

Seems like I have tried what each of you suggested but I'm going to
redo it all again.

There are actually 3 different Mackie control surfaces listed in the
Sonar list. This is what causes my confusion.

I got one of them to show the midi ports checkMarked. I think it was
Mackie Control c4.

But the MCU did not respond.

I'm going back into the studio in an hour or so and will try it all
again. And I will try your recommendations.

I'm wondering if perhaps there's an additional key on the MCU other
than selecting the Mackie Control protocol when first firing it up
that I need to press to wake it up or something.

Thanks again,
Floyd...

Hey all,

I just got an MCU control surface and am trying to get Sonar 8.53 to
see it and lock up.

It does not show up in the list of control surfaces in 8.53.

It uses USB. There are no drivers to install.

Following all instructions I have found, when first powering the unit,
before going to Sonar, I believe I did choose the mackie protocol as
required.

Sonar does see the MCU as midi devices. they have been checkBoxed.

Now what?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Floyd...
