Check the manual, it will tell you which of the protocols to select. Sonar
already has the Mackie protocol in the list of surfaces, so you would just have
to select that 1.
The Mackie 1 is a generic 1 for Mackie and any other unit like BCF2000 that
emulates the Mackie protocol.
So check the manual, select the right protocol (I think they have 1 or 2), then
select the MCU's ports for in and out.
Note that if you ever launch sonar without the unit being turned on and active,
Sonar will set the midi ports to none, so you'll have to reassign them.

Subject: [ddots-l] Mackie Universal Pro

Hey all,

I just got an MCU control surface and am trying to get Sonar 8.53 to see it
and lock up.

It does not show up in the list of control surfaces in 8.53.

It uses USB. There are no drivers to install.

Following all instructions I have found, when first powering the unit, before
going to Sonar, I believe I did choose the mackie protocol as required.

Sonar does see the MCU as midi devices. they have been checkBoxed.

Now what?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Floyd...
