Steve wrote: Hi Phil,

Didn't realise you could load video into sonar, may sound like I'm about to
ask some dumb questions

Phil replied: there's no such thing as a dumb question. The only dumb
question is the one that's not asked, LOL!

Steve continues: but I'm aware you have Midi tracks and audio tracks, do you
have video audio tracks?

Phil replied: when you import the video, Sonar automatically imports the
audio on to a separate audio track and places the video clip into the video
view. Note: you can only import one video clip at a time. Also, everything
is automatically imported at 1.1.1 so, you have to adjust the audio first to
match up with the multitrack. You can then update the start time in the
video view.

Steve wrote: If that's so do you simply load this then turn down the audio
and load say audio from another source into an audio track.

Phil replied: correct. You end up with separate audio tracks for
everything. When I recorded the YouTube footage of DeMuirs, I wanted to put
up an ambient mic in the room however, I ran out of time so, I ended up
using a little ambience off the video camera which, worked pretty well.

Steve wrote: Finally is video possible on Sonar 7.2?

Phil replied: sure, why not.

Steve wrote: If these questions are way off the mark to how this is
achieved, please don't laugh to loud!!!

Phil replied: I never laugh at anything you or, anyone else writes, smile.
You always ask good questions. To be honest, it took me a little while to
figure out exactly how video works in Sonar too.
