I'm very surprised you haven't heard of it Annabelle. The formal 
name is Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (A L S for short), but it is 
commonly called Lou Gehrig's disease, after the baseball player Lou 
Gehrig who came down with it. Basically, you lose voluntary control 
of your muscles in a gradual way until you can't even swallow. 
Horrible.
