Hello:
You really can't use a sound blaster card with Sonar. If you ever did get it to work, that was a pure stroke of luck. Especially if you are using it for Jaws. We just don't support the use of any creative cards with Sonar.

Subject: [ddots-l] No Audio

Greetings from Down Under...:)

Using CT 4 & Sonar 4.0.3, with a SoundBlaster sound card with 1-2 3-4 & 5-6 outputs.

Up until this morning I was going fine and playing with most things in my new found programs. Had a major sound card issue where a program was corrupting the sound card drivers so I uninstalled that program reinstalled the SB drivers and all, and for good measure reinstalled Sonar 4.

Everything in Sonar 4 seems to be functioning correctly except... NO AUDIO!!!

I have checked the Audio options dialog. All seemms OK there. Sonar asked for the soundcard check when I first opened it up. No problems, reported back correctly.

I did a check just before writing this email, the VU meters were reporting something was happening (giving dB read outs).... but still NO AUDIO!!

The rest of the computer seems to be working fine, obviously JAWS is working, as I am typing this email...:) and WinAmp plays back all types of audio, so I do not think the fault is in the SB sound card.

Would truly be appreciative of some pointers in the right direction, and apologies for the long winded email....:)

Kind regards (with hair being pulled out)

David
