With much thanx for your excellent advice!!!

I updated the sound card drivers and then changed from WDM to MME drivers and VOILA!!! AUDIO!!!

I am now once again a Very Happy Chappy....:)

setting your inputs and out puts in the audio options,  thin reboot your
computer.  also you might want to try your card with m m e, and w d m.  i'm
not what sure what your card will work with.  if nun of this works let us
know.  i'm sure some one will try to help you.  you might want to try to get
yourself one of the delta cards, the price is cheep and it would bee less
trouble for you in the long run.
