Yes. You can search for the files you want on the net, and once you load them
into sonar, you just assign all the instruments to their proper tracks.

Subject: [ddots-l] OT, Using Midi Files to Learn Songs by Ear

  Hi there!

I'd like to learn more music by ear independently, but my hearing isn't the
best, and the music might play too fast for me to catch all the notes and
chords. Is there a way that I can download midi files and take them apart so
that I can hear the details, like, say, make the right hand part play, slow it
down, hold the note, etc? Can Sonar work with someone else's midi production?

Any input would be much appreciated.

  thanks!

  Sharon
