Charles,

Your piano playing is absolutely incredible! I loved the featured piano playing
you did on the song where the singer says , "Now we're going to slow things a
little bit," the way you combine classical, Jazz and Latin styles is so complex
and intricate, it's simply brilliant!

  Steve:
I'm glad you liked it. I'm certainly enjoying playing this type of music. I
have been playing salsa and Latin Jazz with different bands around the
Washington D.C. area for a number of years. However, this is the first chance
I get to learn and play this classic big band stuff from the 50's, 60's and the
70's. Too bad we don't get to play that often. Now a days, not many places
are able to hire a 14 piece band.

  Have a great day.

  Hi Charles,

Hey, this stuff is great, brought the feel of sunshine to a rainy day in
England.
I've tried to right this style of music in the pass, It's very hard and I
realise now listening to you guys, I'm a million miles away from the genuine
sound.

  Keep up the great work.

    Hi list:
On May 4 of this year, I performed at the Kennedy Center with Orquesta La
Leyenda, a Salsa Big Band. The performance at the Millenium Stage was an hour
long. We play latin music from the Palladium era. I think the sound quality
is pretty good. With regards to the mix, I would have liked the trumpets to be
a little higher. The conditions on the stage were a little challenging as it
usually is for a 14 piece band. I was playing a grand piano and there were
some feedback issues so they could not raise the volume that much on the
monitors. So, I could not hear myself that much. If you have time to hear the
whole performance, you will notice at least a couple of pretty obbious
mistakes. It was a challenge to hear the horn section over the percussion
section. However, overall, I think it was a pretty good performance.
The two singers and I are the newest members of the band. We joined La
Leyenda about 9 months ago. My girlfriend, Laura Sosa, is the lead female
singer. I hope you enjoy it. Below is the link.
