I got an LE copy of Sound Forge with my Sony PCM-D50 but I never got around to installing it. The cheap and accessible Gold Wave has been doing the job for years especially for basic editing and level matching etc. I may get around to checking out Sound Forge with the Snowman's scripts that everybody seems to like.

Bob.
