Usually just solo instruments. The strings have enough ensemble sound, they
just need a single attack voice. Also, if the flute is too breathy, use a
piccolo or an ocarina in a lower octave. -Andy

When combing other instruments with a bunch of strings, do you add a bunch of
flutes or clarinets, or do you just add solos?
