I don't mind, since I have all the time in the world to sit back and listen.
Besides, if I try to export VST's with Fast Bounce, the audio sounds a bit
choppy in the end. Why that is, I haven't the faintest idea.

Why in the world are you using the real-time audible preset? That preset
plays the project through your speakers at normal speed while recording it
to a file. It is very slow to export audio that way, since you have to sit
and listen to the entire project play from start to finish.
