[ddots-l] Quick time in Sonar,

Hi all,
I got a friend of mine to put some video on a Memory Stick - Thumb Drive.
He put MPG video and Quick Time video.
I noticed several formats when looking at the import video dialog. Quick Time
was there but wouldn't import the Quick Time video.
I then tried the MPG video and that imported fine, however, when I went to
export there wasn't MPG as an option in the export dialog. as usual I'm
confused?
Can anyone explain this to me. I must state at this point I have Sonar 7.2. Yep
still holding on strong.
