i liked the scripts myself. i've also been using sf8 for a while. i tried 9
with the scripts but found the scripts incomplete for it.

I started out with sf7, then upgraded to 8, been using it for years now,
never used the scripts, just used it streight out of the box. Are the scripts
really that usefull? I mean i'm sure there's advantages, but at least for me,
the program is workable right out of the box; with some graphic labeling and
window reassignment a good deal of it speaks... I'm just wondering if sf will
go x64 soon so that we can load huge projects directly to ram... Even though i
find myself using sonar more and more for stuff and sf less and less, so many
won't need it later, who knows...

with it and snowman's scripts or not.

Yea, you'll get interesting results from some recordings. BTW, i guess i
have to mention that you need to either use a raw recording, meaning streight
off cd, or the highest quality mp3 you can find; when using low quality mp3's
or any kind of compressed format, the artifacts come out like crazy when doing
these kind of processing on tracks... Nowadays i just record everything as flac
and then convert it to wave for import into sf or sonar. Does sf10 support flac
yet?

lol. i just tried that to see what would happen. it made the entire song
sound like it was being played in someone's shower.

In sound forge, the channel converter has an option, stereo to
stereo-remove center material or something like that, it some times does the
trick, depends on the song and how it was recorded and exactly how much you are
trying to get out of it.
I play around with different things from filters to band pass to removing
channels etc to get something usable...

Hello all, is there a feature in Sonar 8.5 or Sound Forge, which will
allow one to remove vocals or at least greatly reduce the volume? Thanks
