Hey Tim,

Thanks for the info; I'll give that a try and let you know how it goes.
Something I'm not getting however, is how does Sonar figure out if the
command has to be executed when entering as opposed to when exiting? For
instance, let's just say, for argument's sake that I was to put both
SendLocalOn and SendLocalOff equal to 1, how the heck would those be
differentiated, since they'd both be in the same [option] section? Or is
there something I'm missing?

Finally, can you tell me where you found what could be entered in that .INI
file. Is it somewhere in the Sonar Help?

Cheers,

Hi,

You need to edit your TTSSEQ.INI file. For Sonar 6.2.1, you'll find it in
the following folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\(your user name)\Application Data\Cakewalk\SONAR 6
Producer Edition

For Sonar 6.2 and earlier, you'll find it in:

c:\program files\cakewalk\Sonar 6 Producer Edition\

Both of the things you mentioned require entries within the [Options]
section of the file.

To send a local off at Sonar startup, you will need a line like this:

SendLocalOff=1

To send a local on when you close Sonar, you need:

SendLocalOn=1

You may find that your local on line isn't necessary, so just try adding the
local off line first and see if your hardware automatically reverts to local
on when you quit Sonar. If this fails, add the SetLocalOn line and try
again.

Both of these worked well for me with Sonar 5 and earlier with my Kurzweil
K2600 but the SendLocalOn doesn't seem to have an effect in Sonar 6 and I
have to manually reset my Kurzweil (KDR is wonderful).

I'd be very interested in how you get on with this.

Best wishes.

Subject: [ddots-l] Reverting the local mode on my Roland RD-350 keyboard

Hi all,

I'd like to get rid of the weird phasing generated by the output from the
keyboard's "local mode" which becomes doubled when entering Sonar. I
believe that if I turn "local mode" off that will solve this problem.

So, Is there a way I can accomplish this automatically (using an .INI file
command or something? In my ideal dream world, the "local mode" would get
turned off as I enter Sonar, then back on again as I exit the application.

If my dream can't come true, could anyone share any knowledge that would
make it easier than having to do it each time using the menus on the
keyboard itself?

Thanks a bunch!

Also, does anybody have an accessible manual for the RD-350?

Cheers from Varennes, Quebec Canada,

Subject: [ddots-l] CT update?

I've just installed the CT update from the dancing dots site. I believe,
however, that the older 6.2 version of CT is still loading and not the 6.24
update. Is there a hot key to find out once I've opened sonar?

Also, will the previous tutorials be automatically updated or should I have
uninstalled the CT folder from my programs first?

Thanks,

Stacy
