Hi Chris and Steven! I can recomend to invest in those filters as chris has done. Got them myself and are very satisfied with them. Played earlier in a Rock band. Purple, withe snakes and thin lizzy stuf. The problem about hering what i was playing was always a problem for me on small stages. The filters does not do anything but saving your ears That kind of music only brings bands on small stages in Denmark. So i kind of got used to hering my tones with delay from the back wall. You need to be very soper to cope with that. lol Take care Dennis _____ Fra: ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] På vegne af Chris Smart Sendt: 1. maj 2011 21:45 Til: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Emne: [ddots-l] Re: Ot loud stage Steve and all, the best investment I ever made was getting fitted for some custom earplugs. These are nothing like the cheap foam ones you've probably tried. They actually attenuate things fairly evenly across the spectrum, by a set amount - 9db, 15db, 25db are common values. You need to first get molds taken by an audiologist. Then, these are sent to a lab who produce the earplugs. Your audiologist might have a local lab he prefers, or you can send the molds to someone like Etymotic. Pricy but come on, can you put a price on your remaining hearing?
