Freeze synth is the equivalent of bouncing to tracks and will give you an
individual audio track for each soft synth. Once you've frozen your soft
synths, you can use the mp3 converter to create your stereo file to give to
someone who doesn't have Sonar or Sibelius.

I wonder, is there a way to bounce, say, a softsynth's MIDI Tracks to
separate audio tracks, rather than have the entire mix bounced down into
one? Will that work with the "Freeze Synth" option? Or is that different?

You can bounce the entire project to one audio track, provided that you have
an audio input on your interface to which the audio outputs of your hardware
MIDI synths are wired. Once the MIDI mix sounds the way you like, execute
the bounce to track and then use the mp3 encoder.

Hi Dennis.

If you have the encoder installed already, it would be simpler just to
export the entire mix to an mp3 file.

Then you have no unnecessary tracks tacking up your interface.

Hi Darren!

I have installed the incoder. So the only problem is to do it the best way
as i am going back to working in the project again after exporting to mp3
format. Is it possible to work in a projekt you have bounced to one track
exept for e q in the strip. Like unfrease or somthing?

You could export the entire mix as .wav and convert to mp3 if you don't have
the encoder already enabled in Sonar.

Cheers

Subject: [ddots-l] bounce to track

Hi all!

I am working with a singer on a project. I have made the backing and need to
send the project to her for comments. She is not a Sonar user so i have to
send it in a mp3 format.

If i use the bounce to track command is it than possible to get back to
working in the projekct afterwards. or is there a better way to export the
file?

take care!

Dennis
