Hi, guys. I don't know about Sonar 6, but in Sonar 7 after selecting a Session
Drummer kit, you can press the number 1 on the number row for the first pad
which is the kick. Tabbing once puts you in the output box where you can up
arrow to what track 1-8 you want it assigned to. You can continue tabbing to
adjust other parameters. For pad 2 you press the number 2 and so on. Once you
finish, close and your assigned pads will play through the designated track
outputs. It's funny you should mention pad 6 getting stuck because I ran into
the same problem for a few weeks. Tabbing was going nowhere and was merely
auditioning the pad. I just left pad 6 (tom) assigned to the output 1 and
assigned the other pads to 2-8. I started to post about this problem, but the
last time I attempted this, pad 6 worked fine. Can't explain it.

I have read that you can save patterns as MIDi files like you are talking
about, but I have not done this yet. I've read where you can record and save
acoustic guitar patterns and then import them into the Session Drummer for use.
Like I said, I haven't done anything but used Session Drummer and playing in
real time on the track, pasting, editting, etc. I read you can have patterns
of certain acoustic guitar strums in C, one in F, one in G, etc saved for
future use. This would definitely save having to re-create the acoustic guitar
each time with new projects. I'm writing this because I thought it said to
save as a MIDI 1 file rather than a MIDI 0. Not sure.

Where did you find documentation on how to edit the factory SD patterns as
Gordon did on the MP3 recording? This is where I am lost. And exactly where
do you create your own drum patterns to use in the Event View?
