Well, changing the velocity will produce a different effect than actually lowering the volume of the track. Many sounds have other parameters assigned to velocity like filter depth, attack, etc. The volume parameter in sonar should definitely effect any track that is using the edirol orchestral. Also, if you get a foot pedal volume control, you can use tht to do more convincing dynamic changes.

the track in question is number 29, on the Edirol Orchestral set of midi tracks, and it is set to Channel 4. So what should I do with the velocity? Should I change it at all?
