Dave, there's an accessible document for the Tascam Fw-1884 over on:

http://www.accessibilitytraining.co.uk/fw1884.html

This document will give you a good idea of what can be achieved using the
FW-1884, before you purchase it. Sean Cummins and Herman Fermin, very
kindly helped me put it together.

Have ran into the same thing and a few weeks ago someone came on who gave a
permanent work around for it. I have that happen on occasion when opening
certain projects but then only have to hit enter and clears it up. Please
tell me how you like your tascum. Just getting into pc recording but can see
already how handy it would be to actually use faders in my mixing. How
difficult is it to get set up? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks, Dave

lol, I pressed the computer mode button on the Taskam, I think. Sorry,
really don't know for sure, surely wish I could get the Taskam working
again, trying to mix a project for tomorrow.

Okay, got rid of the silent busses detected problem, but since I've
installed my Ct and Sonar updates, my taskam is no longer controled by
sonar...or is it the other way? In any event, it's not functioning allowing
me to mix with the sliders, or are those called faders? Please, somebody,
help!
