I think what Chris means is that the sonar burning tool is just an extra
bonus, just so they can say "you can burn disks right from sonar."
Having more boxes is not just it, and Chris can chime in on this since he
does mastering and took the courses, but there are standards and things
like
redbook and such that the utility would have to support in order to burn
an
accurate disc; most people who would be burning discs with such
requirements
would probably be using mastering tools like the ones I mentioned, or
other
type of software that is specific to that feature, so that's why cakewalk
didn't include it.

Rui, think of the CD burning tool in Sonar as just a bonus, not a core
feature of the program.
To make a comparison, many people use something other than Session
Drummer
for drum replacement, or Autotune rather than V Vocal, or Ivory rather
than True Pianos.

That's probably CD Text you're speaking of; I usually do it with sound
forge or CD architect; never used the sonar tool, so not sure if it does
or not.

How do you guys do this final mastering step?
