Thanks Phil, I shall try that later. What mode does the Tascam default to? Is it a case of switching it to computer mode every time you turn it on, and if so, must this happen before Sonar is opened? By the way. just a quick reminder to any of you who may have missed it, all documentation, Tascam drivers etc have been moved to the new training website: http://www.accessibilitytraining.co.uk/ Regards, Phil Muir Accessibility Training Telephone: US (615) 713-2021 UK+44-1747-821-794 Mobile: UK +44-7968-136-246 E-mail: info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx URL: www.accessibilitytraining.co.uk/ ----- Original Message ----- From: Mark <mailto:mark.brierley@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Brierley To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, June 22, 2009 9:25 AM Subject: [ddots-l] Tascam FW1884 Hi guys I set up my FW1884 yesterday. I used the download from Phil's website, so I knew I had the most up to date drivers etc. I set the FW1884 Control in both the midi in and out fields in Options/Midi Devices dialogue. I then went in to the control surfaces dialogue under options and added the Tascam to the list, again setting the FW1884 control as the midi in and midi out. The Tascam did then seem to work. I was monitoring a project through it, adjusting track levels with the faders, soloing tracks etc. However, there was one thing that did not seem to work. I can adjust the track and stereo bus levels with the faders. However, when I change the levels in Sonar, the faders on the FW1884 do not seem to move to the corresponding points on the mixer. Does anyone have any idea why this would be? Is the Tascam sending midi out to the computer and not receiving midi in? Any help greatly appreciated. You maybe seeing rather a lot of me in the coming weeks. Smile Thanks, Mark
