Yea, those midi sets are usually pritty good. I don't think sonar has anything to do with it. It'll all depend on 1. Your hardware and what drumset you are using, 2. the plug-in drums software and how it responds to notes and midi message, variable cc numbers (for the high-hat open/close status etc). Sonar merely passes the data back and forth. It sounded like a toy, so I just recorded the audio output. It was something about his triggers when hitting the head of the drum. It's been a few years since I did this though. Another experience was with someone I knew that had a cat, but he was able to adjust the velocities within the module he was using. -----Original Message----- From: ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of ivanlopez@xxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, August 27, 2013 9:04 PM To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ddots-l] Using the Roland TD11KV drum set as a controller with Sonar Has any one used an electric drum kit as a midi controller to work with Sonar? If so, how was your experience? Regards, Ivan PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
