Hi.

If something like Sonar had been available in 1989 when I went to sound engineering college, I'd have likely stuck at it, but it was the ol' days of Atari.

I'm having a blast with Sonar 7 and all the great soft synthes available.

I've never had so many ideas for music.

Cheers
Darren

Hmmm, the main issue that your friend will have doing things that way is
that, once you've treated the recording, there's no going back - this is
great for keeping yourself disciplined but, like all other forms of
discipline, you end up paying for it somewhere down the line. Tell him that
he can chop and change FX on a track in Sonar, whilst leaving his original
recording dry. In fact, you can do this in CuBase as well, so I'm a bit
baffled as to why he's involving Audition.

Best wishes.

Hi Tim,

I'm trying to get this guy to realise just how easy Caketalking makes
things.

For His effects He sends audio files out of Cubase and imports them into
Adobe Audition.
He then adds effects and imports it back into Cubase.

This is not quite as fast as hitting application and choosing an effects
processor.

I took ages to move from hardware to software and I wish I'd done it Years
ago.

That's a real blast from the past for me - I had one of those from new and
gigged with it for years. I still regret part-exchanging it for a Yamaha
MU128 module. Hope your friend's managed to lay his hands on the little
plug-in hardware programmer - it made the JX3P a real joy to use.

Best wishes.

Hi All,

A friend of mine uses both software and hardware without any scripted
support. He has to make Jaws perform somersaults to achieve have of what
he
needs. I'm still trying to get Him to come over to Sonar.
"I know I know, it took me enough time to realise how great the
Caketalking
scripts are."

He collects synths like some People collect stamps, He recently got hold
of
a Roland JX3P and decided to multi track it. This little demo is quite
affective and features the Roland JX3p.
Thought you may like to hear it?
