Correct. The column in the track view to select modalities will affect what you input, not what is already there. Don't know how to help you with changing to a particular modality. I even also enable the snap to scale button and it still does not changes pitch. I am interested in knowing if while working with sonar, if there is a way to modify the pitch as it corresponds to a change in key signature or scale for example, track is in C major and you want to listen how that same track sounds in a minor, Frigian, Mixolidian mode etc. I did also notice that I can make pitch changes in the event view, but it looks pretty time consuming if I do it this way.
