Greg, yes you can do that. If a loop is acidised then, it will automatically sink to the tempo of
the project, even if the lop that you are importing isn't at that tempo. That's the great thing
about acidised lops. If you alter the speed of the project aft you have imported the loop then, the
loop will change tempo too. If the loop that you are using isn't acidised then, you can indeed take
it into Sound Forge and acidise it. I can't write a long list of instructions explaining how to do
this as I have never managed to do it myself.

How do I go about it? Anyone care to write up a quick set of instructions?

Subject: [ddots-l] creating solid loops
hihats,Hello: I am currently in the process of trying to make some solid drum loops. Now I've tried to do so in sonar 2.2 using the "loop construction view" but it doesn't really seem to work. I've downloaded various snares, kicks, doetc. in wav files from the internet. Basically what I want to do is make loops where each kick is on half notes, each snare on quarters, hihat on eighths, etc. I'm working on a hiphop project with friends and I'd like to be able to create my own drum loops for them. Currently, I am not able tothem so I have to depend on a friend to make them (using fruity loops).NowtoI've also tried fruity loops myself and it doesn't work at all with Jaws. That's why I thought I may be able to achieve what I want to in sonar, but it also does not seem to work there either. Perhaps there is an easy wayIdo this in sonar? If not, it would be greatly appreciated if people could recommend any other blind-friendly programs that will allow me to achieve what I'm trying to do. This is very frustrating as it is sooooo easy for sighted individuals to just throw drum loops together in fruity loops andwould really like to be able to do the same. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Brian
