Hi your vocal level depends on your type of recording but usually i'll keep it 
round about -5 dB to ensure a good signal to noise ratio. The important thing 
is to make sure that it's not clipping at 0 dB.

my name is Nathan sweet I am using sonar.2 producer  edition, with jaw.0 and 
also cake talking.2.1, my question is, what is a good recording level to set 
the microphone volume for vocals, I am also wanting to know, where is the 
master volume to adjust the hole recording so you can get a good level for
