If you have no control surface, automation is the way to best do it. If you
do have one, as Chris suggested, go head and just do a manual fade at the
start and end. This does require 2 separate tracks. Though.
If you need further help with this, write me off list, as you do still have
training time available on the cue here.

Subject: [ddots-l] editing question

Sorry folks, did a little editing from my last post for some clarification.

I am going to be editing my pastor's sermons in Sonar and then burning them
to cds for people to buy and also possibly begin posting them on our
website. He has a musical bed with a voiceover intro that he would like to
be put at the beginning of the sermon and then fade in to him talking, and
then have the musical bed fade in as his sermon fades out. What's the best
way to accomplish this in sonar? I understand the concept but am not sure
how to go about doing it. How's the best way to get the musical bed in.
Would I just import that in to a separate audio track like say track1 and
then the sermon audio on track 2? Any help would be appreciated. Maybe
it's more simpler than I am making it but right now I can't wrap my brain
around this. Thanks!
Brian
