  Hello:
You don't want to use the cw9 encoder, it was sooo slooooooow. There is an
executable file that you get when you register the lame encoder with cakewalk
that will register it. I wish I could tell yu where to get it though.

If you have Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 then you could use the .MP3 encoder from
that. I haven't done this in such a long time that I can't remember exactly
how you do this. I think you may need to use a file on your Sonar CD. Then,
show it that you have the MP3 encoder that shipped with your copy of Cakewalk
Pro Audio 9. If you don't have Cakewalk Pro Audio then, you will need to
purchase the .MP3 plug-in directly from Cakewalk.

Or, you could export to a wave file then, do the MP3 conversion in Sound
Forge or, Gold Wave. The MP3 encoders that ship with the above mentioned wave
editors are way better than the Cakewalk MP3 encoder anyway. I don't think
they have upgraded the Cakewalk MP3 encoder for years. I could be wrong though.

      Hey Y'all,

I tried exporting a stereo mix to MP3. A dialogue came up telling me I
would have to go to the Cakewalk web site to either purchase or unlock this
feature. I have never used the MP3 feature. I could not find where on the web
site to get a trial version of this feature. I went to downloads, but, could
not find it. Can someone direct me on how to unlock the trial version? Thanks.
