hello everyone, it has came to my attention the questions regarding the fast track ultra. which I have to say has not given me any problems. but please don't quote me, I am just a beginner. well to beginn, the ultra is u-s-b connected. ok, the software is not accessible by our screen readers but if you go to you're control panel, you should see a link for the m audio drive and anyone with sight will be able to manuever thru it and ensure all you're outputs levels are to the highest or all the way up at max volume and ensure all the outputs are on, I had to call up m audio to receive teck support with the ultra, but none the less I got it working . oh, and yes you have to install the driver from the website and make sure that you have it checked under as you're midi device on the options list. I have been able to use the ultra as an external sound card. so when you are not working on sonar , you can blast you're screen reader thru the monitors of you're work station. if you pull out the volume control knob on the ultra foe the front four inputs it will automatically drop the volume by 20 decibals. pretty cool, huh? oh and to use the inputs in the back you will use the little push button on the front of the input, therefore, transfering the signal to the rear corresponding to that number input. then of course, you probably olready know about the phanthom swithch on the back for condenser mics. well hope that helps. hit me up if you have any questions, maybe I can help. rivasma@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx manny
