Hi manny, I appreciate your input and does sound like most of its software is not accessable which is what i really was interested in knowing. Really wasn't sure if it was not accessable to everyone or if i was just doing something wrong. I have been able to use it for recording one track at a time, but am not sure how I would set it up if i wanted to record two people at once, sending channel one to track one for instance and then channel two to track two or something like that. There are a couple channels whose volume is not turned up and i assume will need someone sighted to make sure this is done and that all tracks are checked etc. Right now it appears as though only a couple inputs are working so must be something in the software to adjust this. Where i like the unit, it is upsetting to be required to have a sighted person help me, especially when my wife and son are not into pc recording and may not even know what they're looking for in the way of adjusting. Thanks much for info and if you have any idea how to assign track etc. would love to know, alongwith any other tricks you may have found. I have been able to use the ultra as an external sound card. so when you are not working on sonar , you can blast you're screen reader thru the monitors of you're work station. if you pull out the volume control knob on the ultra foe the front four inputs it will automatically drop the volume by 20 decibals. pretty cool, huh? oh and to use the inputs in the back you will use the little push button on the front of the input, therefore, transfering the signal to the rear corresponding to that number input. then of course, you probably olready know about the phanthom swithch on the back for condenser mics. well hope that helps. hit me up if you have any questions, maybe I can help. rivasma@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx manny
