[ddots-l] fire box problem

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me. We just bought a presonus 1394 fire
box and I can't hear myself speaking or singing threw the box. What I mean is
if I'm listening to my head set as it is plugged in to the head phone conection
I can't hear anything when I test the mic except for some hiss if the volume is
turned up. However, if I record I can hear what has been recorded threw the
same port. Also, if I turn input echo on I can also hear myself speaking that
way. The Audio driver version is 1.20.0. Thanks guys.
