Hi Chad, That box has a knob on the bottom right. I think it's called "mix". If it's turned all the way to the right you hear the input channels. If it's all the way to the left, you only hear the output channels (your playback in other words). turn that knob somewheres around the middle and you'll hear both. That's one idea for you. Another idea is to push the phantom power button in for your microphone channel. If you are using a condenser microphone, you will probably want to push in the little phamtom power button oover on the left (just beside the volume knob ). _____ From: ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chad Morrison Sent: Friday, May 08, 2009 5:07 PM To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ddots-l] fire box problem Hello everyone, I hope you can help me. We just bought a presonus 1394 fire box and I can't hear myself speaking or singing threw the box. What I mean is if I'm listening to my head set as it is plugged in to the head phone conection I can't hear anything when I test the mic except for some hiss if the volume is turned up. However, if I record I can hear what has been recorded threw the same port. Also, if I turn input echo on I can also hear myself speaking that way. The Audio driver version is 1.20.0. Thanks guys.
