Hi Chad,
That box has a knob on the bottom right.  I think it's called "mix".  If
it's turned all the way to the right you hear the input channels.  If it's
all the way to the left, you only hear the output channels (your playback in
other words).  turn that knob somewheres around the middle and you'll hear
both.
 
That's one idea for you.
 
Another idea is to push the phantom power button in for your microphone
channel.  If you are using a condenser microphone, you will probably want to
push in the little phamtom power button oover on the left (just beside the
volume knob ).

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me.  We just bought a presonus 1394 fire
box and I can't hear myself speaking or singing threw the box.  What I mean
is if I'm listening to my head set as it is plugged in to the head phone
conection I can't hear anything when I test the mic except for some hiss if
the volume is turned up.  However, if I record I can hear what has been
recorded threw the same port.  Also, if I turn input echo on I can also hear
myself speaking that way.  The Audio driver version is 1.20.0.  Thanks guys.
