in my music studio i have Drums , keybord,bass and guitar amps,microphones,
etc... regarding hardware, i find enough having a yamaha 8xlr mixer with some
fx, a couple of compressors, a phones amplifyer, a parametric equalizer plus my
MAudio Profire 2626 firewire soundcard. All connected to a multicor, 2
speackers for rehersals or i use my phones amplifyer.
So, usually i only use a mixer for rehersals, since that when i record a band
all playing at the same time, i prefer to use the phones amplifyer, all ear
through phones of course. Gets easy to mix on Sonar then, i mean, i dont
really use the mixer when i'm recording, since my sound card has got 8 xlr
inputs. All band go straight to Sonar, i record and mix from there maybe with
some reverb in real time, or not, depends of the musicians of course!
Almost forgot my studio speackers for mixing and pre-mastering, important to
have, right?

No worrys, It's mmore than enough.
The oficial DancingDots recommendations for the Cake Walk Sonar Production
edition is:
Drive space. mimimal 200 mb for the software instalation, 50 gb is
recommended for all of the features and soft synths. Of course, a couple of
months later and you will find that at least 100 gb it's what you will need
though! It all depends of how many extra Sonar plug'ins you will gonna get!

Can someone tells me how much gigabytes Sonar is when you install the whole
software including sounds etc?
Py c-partition has now 217 gb free space on my laptop and 250 gb on my
desktop c-drive.
is that enough?
